Hey, even if it is a little different from the film one, this is still a very nice piece! I actually like the look you have gone for a lot :)

The only thing that kinda detracts a bit from the overall image is the grey ground - it would have been more attractive presented on a nice velvet drapery arrangement, or something to that effect.

Wow, that looks spectacular. When you said "it was harder than I thought", I was still waiting for the image to load and I was expecting something... well not very good, heh, because a lot of times that statement implies it. Boy was I wrong. Very impressive!

How, might I ask, did you do the jewel itself? I have been getting into texturing lately, making great strides thanks in huge part to the tutorials from Leigh (you rock, you got me into these boards too through your recent interview)... and I have been thinking about how one might go about making a jewel texture, and with my intermediate knowledge of texturing I don't really have a good idea. So if you would care to share some of your secrets or a link to wherever you maybe learned yourself, that would be awesome!
