ok so this is just a floating point image file format right?
you still have to shoot the image at all the appropriate f-stop positions right?
how do you create them?
They must have something new and grand in the works to be throwing their glourious table scraps at us starving peasents.

Anybody using these floating point formats for anything besides global illumination?
Just curious, you could do away with the diffuse channel with this format, I'm curious what else can be done.

Does that actually do anything? Or is it a developers kit?

I didn't dl it, but it looks like it's just a file format and a viewer that lets you do a few simple adjustments.
