pro - you don't have to adjust handles for every point, just the tension.
con - you usually have to use alot more points to get the same mask, unless you REALLY like adjusting the tensions.

RotoBezier certainly seemed to work better for me than straight vertices on this shot (http://www.scottgammans.net/doomsdaymachine/teaser/doomsday_scene013a.zip) where I had to rotoscope almost two seconds of William Shatner walking in front of a background plate that I was replacing. I'm pretty new at rotoscoping, but RotoBezier just seemed to produce a smoother result when tracing a curved, organic shape like The Shat.

rotobezier is great imo. gives a much more fluid roto. i don't really think i am am adding any more points than i was before rotobezier, if anything i am using less points because of the tension aspect.
