View Full Version : Wrap Deformer's Influence VS Smooth Skin Influence

In Gnomon Skinning III, an example of multipatch NURBS head skinned indirectly with a Wrap Deformer.

Alvaretz just mentioned that in a lips region there should be Two poly influence objects for upper and lower lips.

This way wrap deformer knows how to affect patches belonging to upper or lower lip.

But points out that these should be Influences found in: Deform>Edit Wrap>Add Influence, NOT the one in Skin>Edit Smooth Skin>Add Influence.

Therefore question: I seem to miss something, but How can I possibly adjust weights for these wrap influences if there are no options for them, and they don't show up in component editor.

If somebody could point out in a right direction, I'd really appreciate.

I think I got the point finally.
Those influences should be assigned localy only to patches they will affect, not to a whole geometry like I thought (and did) Thus no adjustments will be nessesary.
I didn't try it though, but I'm sure that should be a solution.

Here is a lesson for myself: first think it thru, then bother people.
(I guess (thanks to my messy explanations) nobody understood what I wanted anyway. :)
