Hi, all, this is my first WIP post in this forum, i'm just a newbie in this foorum, this is for my modeling reel, using Max i'm tring to make a bahamut like creature from FF. i want to make something unique about this model, so i choose not to use meshsmooth.
any comments or critics would be appreciate, it will help me to through this model......:)thx

Cool, can't wait to see the arms & wings attached... Very nice work indeed, my only crit is the model's too tidy considering that it's a huge creature.
Way to go man ! Very Nice...

finally...., an update, i've added arms and tail. next wing and armor, but need to change the concept a bit, the bones that comes out from the shoulder i think is blocking the wing movement, so i have to figure it out..thx for looking

Aye, but keep in mind that Bahamut is a dragon. Like, really : a Dragon. Consider Bahamut : Zero to be a Star Dragon, although this one is more like Bahamut from FF8.

So I'm not suggesting you add wings, but they would certainly be wonderful!

And in my opinion, the oversized feet look downright silly!

But it's a good model so far, and yes we can all tell you're smoothing it for display purposes. Care to show us the mesh?

hei,....first thanx for looking guys, well that's true i don't use meshsmooth for smoothing, instead i use smoothing group, i show you the mesh, as you can see there no meshsmooth stack and the red one( the selected object) use 4017 tris and use only 2 smoothing group. but the consequences are i have to move each vertex carefully (i want to test my modeling skill to limit i can take ) and the poly become high, but i think it's still not to high if using meshsmooth.

and sorry for no update, i have to work again, hopefully at the end of the week i can spare some times. i'll work the feet again, u're right it's to big...
thanx Rafa-el,lordstormdragon, and all of you guys.....

pardon me for my english:sad:

anyways , awesome modeling , i hope you get the time to finish it

and about the feet i think they give your beast a certain...manga/anime stile.

and i like it
