Title: Volvo C70
Name: Pavel Mikhailenko
Country: Russia
Software: 3ds max, Brazil r/s
Image was done as a prerender for a movie. I just wanted to make sure i can do my render close to the real car in real sequence, coz that real car had to be replaced with CG volvo )

It looks very good good in this render. The model seems to be clean and well proportioned, and the interior looks detailed as well. Materials have a natural feel, although the rear light's color seems too have a green/yellowish tint to it.

delicous work ... just one tiny suggestion ... point the camera more dramatically ... going near an object and taking advantage of DOF ... the interior looks very good ... there are a lot of places you could do this ... try to make the point of you of a tiny insect sitting somwhere..

I don`t wanna argue with anybody here :) Your opinion is your for 100%. I still remember that "funny dispute" around my Ferrari 612 here. That was realy sad ))) And i found out that here if you try to argue or somthing, you work fall down as in reputation as in ratings, and nobody cares about the very image any more ))) Actualy i found interesting facts how pips comment and rate images, so that`s why i`d better keep my opinion with me
Respect to all af ya! Cheers!

man ... sorry ... was just a small sugestion ... sorry you had bad experience ... it was just a small sugestion because I just admired your work.
I did not want to sound like a smart ace. Usually I do not comment any work I don't like and I hate using peoples work for me as a reference to show of my great CG qualities. So to put it simple ... I love the work in your gallery and I am in no way up to that level this moment. All I thought about when I saw that clean worked car inside, was a POV.
Sorry if I triggered any unpleasent deja vue.
Sincerily I can recall what you feel... but that's how it is in this field.
And now just trying to be funny ... just as I said before... I remeber that line Pachino ones said in a movie "Vanity is my favorit sin" ... so just ignore it ... dont riun the joy of your finished work if someone has a sick itch in the but...

Hey, dude )) Don`t worry :) Everything is cool! And all what i said wasn`t about your comments or about you. It was more like rhetorical, you know )) I just take pleasure observing how pips rate and comment here and anywhere else :applause:
Be cool and good luck ))

amazing work on the volvo !
the camera positions are perfect cause they reflect the way volvo puts it's pride in pure design ( both car as graphic design )
The way you show the car makes it almost imposible to seperate it from a real photo.
The side view blows it as well.
I'm just curious on what the reason is for making this one! Is it an assignment, or it a job? And what about that video you were talking about ;-)
great image
wow ! Where did you find the time between this volvo and the Atlantis ? :scream:
Anyway, very good work, included mod, lightning and render. you've got my 4*!!

These were made as a tests just like i said. I can`t show the movie coz it`s a property of Volvo Cars Company, but here are some shots. I hope you`ll understand now why i did those tests

I can't believe it... You really capture the hole thing, the shaders are a duplicate of the real one.
Some of the hardest parts on a car is the tail-lights, but you manage it perfect!
!GREAT!
