hello,

i'm just trying to optimize my scene for the final render.
everytime i start it up, the following message appears:

// Warning: Cycle on 'particleShape1.ageNormalized' may not evaluate as expected. (Use 'cycleCheck -e off' to disable this warning.) //
// Warning: Cycle on 'arrayMapper1.outValuePP' may not evaluate as expected. (Use 'cycleCheck -e off' to disable this warning.) //
// Warning: Cycle on 'particleShape1.ageNormalized' may not evaluate as expected. (Use 'cycleCheck -e off' to disable this warning.) //

what does this mean? is it bad concerning my renders? how do i fix this issue?

another thing that kinda confuses me is the following:

// Warning: Could not find an appropriate startup camera: top. A substitute will be used. //

do both of these problem related to one another? i don't know what went wrong!

Nah, there's probably nothing to worry about, they're warnings, not errors.

The cycleCheck thing comes up all the time with animation, basically if your scene (or particles in this case) seems to be working fine, then just ignore the warning. It can be caused by lots of different things but I've never found an actual problem. It's simply a warning of a *potential* problem.

Same with the camera, sounds like you've lost your top view camera. This shouldn't really be possible since the default cameras are non-deletable, but believe me it CAN happen if you exported models then opened them instead of importing them. So just make a new ortho -> top camera if you need one.

I've found whats it about with the startup camera-warning:

It happens if your "top"-view isn't at rx -90, ry 0, rz 0
So if you just rotate y to 0.002 it brings the warning. whatta crap...
