Apoclypse 01-22-2003, 05:39 PM So, have any of you guy used it before and if so how do I make a really comlex volumetric cloud shader. Like in FF with the crater explosion. Otherwise just post some thumbs of shaders you guys havew made using this really kick ass tool.

I read about a japanese guy who faked clouds with a trick. You can find a photo of it here.

as well as his website of course. But I donīt think it is a volumetric shader.
I believe he also explained this in some Stupid Renderman Tricks. For this take a look at www.rendeman.org

All i really want to know is if you are able to write your own bricks becuase I want to write a raymarcher like the free one avalble for maya that lets you use it in the network unlike the one in XSi. So i wanted to know if maybe there was a way to avoid doing this because to be honest i kind of suck and it will probably suck too.

write your own Bricks. Look on the website or in the Renderman newsgroup.
I believe Alexei postet once a small tut about it.
