So I just started using the Trax Editor in Maya (6.5) and was pretty happy to find this kind of functionality in Maya, having come from many years of being able to do nonlinear animation editing in Max/character studio.

I went through the tutorial and was able to get animation editing and blending working and I saved out my sample clips with no problems. While I had no pre-existing character set, Trax Editor created one for me when I saved the first clip. In a seperate maya file, I took the same character and rig, saved a new clip from the exact same selection (to create an identical character set) then was able import those clips, arrange and edit them, just as I was able to do in the original file. I saved the files with the clips still loaded in trax and moved on. For once in a long while, I was actually happy with Maya (a rare thing for this former max user :D)

However, when I went back into these files, both the original maya file I'd exported clips from and the one I'd imported clips into, they explode. More specifically, it looks fine when I first open the file. The character is in the right pose for the frame it's on. But as soon as I scrub, the character flies back to world space and pretty much implodes and stays imploded for all frames, while my rig's control curves are nowhere to be found.

The only thing potentially weird about the scene is that the rig is referenced, in both the source and the output file. Could this be the cause? Is this something buggy or am I doing it wrong? Any ideas?
