View Full Version : Max To Maya Translation On Chamfer Please
I am doing a tutorial but it was written for max.
You can view the tutorial HERE (http://www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials/project_overviews/adam_guzowski/Guzowski1_1.asp) if you wish.
My question is , they say to grab the edges and
chamfer them....How can this be done in Maya?

Chamfer in max is like the bevel tool in maya.. altho the Max chamfer tool is a lot more specific on what it does. Bevel in maya just tries to make rounded edges.. while chamfer just 'splits an edge in two'
hope that makes sense
It appears as if in the tutorial they chamfer
the edges because when I chamfer the verts
(which is the tool supplied by MJPoly Tools &
Bonus Game Package) it gives me a different
result from what I see they have.
Is there anything in maya that will allow you
to chamfer edges as they do in 3ds Max in
this particular tutorial
