View Full Version : Legacy Environment Shaders in Render Pass

I've been toying with the Legacy_Atmosphere, Day, etc shaders & I'm having trouble getting away from artifacts, they tend to appear where objects meet the environment. I'm working with just a Default_Pass & plugging into the Environment Shader Stack.

Could someone possibly post a workable render tree?

Or, should I just go back to using spheres for this legacy stuff, maybe setup an additional pass? Have I found out why most legacy shaders are sort of ghosted out in the first place? :D

Thanks in advance!

Seriously, I'm trying to get this setup for previs/environment sampling for AO. Someone make it public.

The legacy shaders are there only to support old scenes imported from SOFTIMAGE|3D. They are monolithic shaders that don't play well with rendertrees.

Okay, so they're simply there for compatibility.

Odd that they're still almost wholely useful, though. I mean, in fresh scenes - I guess digging around didn't pay off in this case. There are other options, suppose that's what matters.

Clarification of this legacy stuff is always good. Thanks much.
