View Full Version : AMD PC crashes on pressing any animation controls

A friend of mine uses Cinema 4D R8 but he has the problem that when he starts using the play-controls for animation, Cinema crashes. It is a new AMD 2400+ with 512MB memory. Has anyone encoutered this problem? Or could it be a hardware problem?

I am on a dual Athlon 1900+ and have no problems at all (except the known multi-procesor bug in Claude Bonnet, which affects intel too).
Your friend should check if he uses the appropriate graphics driver.
C4d 8 needs the latest geforce driver, best get the nVidia reference driver.
With older drivers there are serious problems.

--the latest driver was the beta driver of detonator (at least in October it was still beta) which is absolutely stable btw.
