Is there any way to rotate/pan the view without clicking my wheel on my mouse? I know there has to be, but i'm just wondering.

Also, I must be blind because ive read alot of things on wings3d, but how do you weld verts?

go to edit - camera mode

and under camera mode you can choose from maya , xsi , max , etc. for different pan \zoom combinations.

You have to bridge polygons to weld vertices.

You can also collapse an edge to just get one vertex at the edges' midpoint.

Or, there is a new Weld command. If two faces are near each other from two separate objects, and they have the same number of vertices, you can weld the two objects together.

Its most useful instance is when you are working on big models. You can loopcut parts off and work on them with everything else hidden, then weld them back together in one fell swoop.
