hi,
cloth has his own gravity in the solver, so it does not automaticly react with a gravity field. a gravity field only reacts on cloth with a field constraint.
Does the cloth collide with the collision object and then floats away, or does it never collide with it?

i dont know what more i can tell you...the cloth just floats out of my scene when i try to create a collison object...i can give you a playblast tonight at 9pm eastern standard time (USA) when i get home (not sure where your from but thats about 8hours from now)...like i said b4 though i think it has something to do with the snow particle in my scene (blobby surface emiter) and possibly the gravity i had in the scene before i made the cloth
