I downloaded the test thingy for Alias sketchbook, and man that thing rocks!
this was just a try out, but it fits for this topic, so why not?
Alias sketchbook, probably waaaaay over the time cuz I didn't even look at the time..

ermpf, yeah, the background is a picture from somewhere in Japan( I thought she looked kind of asian) that I simply drew over some of the things like the soda machines and the house behind.. found on google. And the girl is somewhat based of a photo from a local consert in the newspaper=p
just thought I ought to get that in..

Hello people.
It been way,way too long since i posted a daily sketch, but weather has taken a turn for the worse here in Scotland again, so things are returning to "normal" after some fantastic summer days that jsut had to be spent outside (we don't get many days like that).
Anyways, here's today's sketch - keeping it cool in the Arctic.
PS + Wacom 35 minutes

Went double the time on this one...it's a cool, hidden retreat - perfect for the summer heat. I reckon the guy's a cliff diver, but I'm open to suggestions. 1hr30mins, PS.

My attempt at designing a "cool" character. Long silky hair+cyborg arm+weapon+cloak+constipated facial expression = plenty of coolness?

Photoshop7 + Painter 9. About 30 minutes.

I like the penguin sketch.:D

CristinaRH: Good to see you trying out soem different tools, been thinking about trying out Sketchbook as well - sounds like it might be worth it.

Platinum_Dragon: Lol - It must be the weather that makes people think of big ice cubes rather than the other meaning of cool :D

YumeDust - Excellent sketch - i really like the very subtle use of colour, it emphasises it really well  Hope you have cooled down a bit :)

EhsanD: THat looks nice and cool indeed, I really like the seal!

Arlekin: That is indeed a cool guy

danielh68: Great sketch - you covered two days topic in one - cool and sexy :D

JimiPhoenix: Nice use of perspective. Given the omnious clouds, it looks like he might be a bit cool already

mecos: Excellent - great take on the topic, and one seriously cool penguin

pipichu: Great as always - love your totally unique style!

Nice to have some more comments on people's work, Overchord; cheers!

...I couldn't think of what I wanted in the sky, so I just kind of settled for what ended up there...but you have to PRETEND that it's really hot and humid :)

Often, because I am a deep individual with deep thoughts, my solemn comtemplation presents me with philosophical quandaries that even I am unable to solve. Just now I have been faced with such a predicament. If, hypothetically, a being as incredibly powerful as the Blinguin was to set its sights on, say, world domination, how would we - mere humans - stop it? For minutes and minutes no answer came to me...until!
In the event of such a catastrophe, there could be only one creature COOLER than a Blinguin...I present to you...

20 mins, PS. (I have to stay up today, so I'm keeping myself busy to stay awake :D)

JimiPhoenix - :D That is indeed nearing the pinnacle of cool. This is starting to go the way of an avatar war though, Blinguin vs AfrohairNinja.... its a hard one :bounce:
