Well, in a school project involving making a comic, there was this character that looked sorta an Alien-ish octopod creature, i really liked how the guy turned out, and i thought, how would it look Photopainty drawed and shaded. Unfortunately i lack of scanner and a tablet, so all my CG work is done in the comp with old mouse with rollerball.

I started with this drawing directly in Photopaint:

It looks pretty close than the original, btw =P.

I have added some shading for it:

And some coloring:

The thing is, there is something it does not convince me, i dont really know what could be, so i am asking for some orientation in how would i make it look better. Suggestions?

Cool drawing!

Are you planning to build and animate the character?

It looks like a female alien to me. Perhaps thinking of it as a he is what is disconcerting to you.

I can't wait to see more of her!
