Title: Newest Installation
Name: Alex Ruiz
Country: USA
Software: Photoshop

This piece I did in about 6 hours, blocking it it with basic photoshop brushes, then overlaying photos and textures, then paiting back into it.
It's always amazing to me when massive structures, be they 'art' or dinosaur bones, are hung by just wires..the bigger they are, the more tense the environment. So here I imagined a civilization hanging a massive robot, kinda robotech looking, with the only thing working is the light in the eyes. Why they wouldn't stand it upright, I have no idea!:)

This feels very raw, and free, but is powerful for it - great work.

It feels massive. You really get a sense of the robot's weight. ...And there's a sense of underlying great power. I also like the somewhat disorienting perspective.

...And great use of color and contratsing tones and shapes.

Nice work.

I really like it because it is powerful and quick. I like the shapes and felling this is a fast piece. :buttrock: The overlaying photos do the job...I would even add some thin black gradients from all edges :) Cheers
