okay so I have one scene that a work colleague passed to me. I work with his scene units and create a new model. I adjust the grid units in this scene and save off the scene.
I then open his scene to get the original grid units BUT MAYA's USELESS and in the grid unit display options the numbers (length and width, grid lines and subdivisions) are the last numbers I ENTERED?!! not the currently open scene grid units?!!
what on earth? how am I meant to use grid unit sizes from another scene and find them out if maya's grid unit options box only displays the ones I last typed in?!!
really upset.. want 3dsmax back ..or xsi or ..renderbender on the old archimedes I used when I were 13 in school... anything except this 3d burp!! :(
