Certain Effect

Hey guys I recently saw a thread in the Fusion forums about a certain effect, I suggested that it was made in AE with some 3D Stroke, because it looked like that "genre" of effect, but I'm stumbling on how to re-create it myself, anyhelp would be good (at my disposal : Trapcode Shine,particular and 3D stroke + AE 7.0 Pro).

Na, absolutely no bit of it is any "Stroke" in the original meaning of the word. It's mainly particle emitters tracked to the corresponding body parts (zero velocity, no gravity, high emission rate to form "bands"). You can clearly see this by the kinks in the streaks. The rest is just a bit of masking to get proper obscuration here and there...

Honestly, the picture looks like creative use of motion fractals, perhaps from electricsheep.org
