View Full Version : nature wins
Hello folk
This is my first thread in WIP section, heh...
OK, I work on next scene. This scene contains few grass grass types and this will be in download section of our web (www.3dsoftware.cz (http://www.3dsoftware.cz/) - czech C4D com. sever), thus this scene is not about wariors, girls, war (Stop WAR in Lebanon), this is only about grass.
My work is almost done.
What do you mean about it?

Really Gorgeous. This doesn't belong in the W.I.P section, but the finished pieces section
It's really nice to see a piece with nature as it's focus; I too find that all kinds of nature; plants, flowers and such inspire me more than the 1000th Z-Brushed unfinished orc head I saw the other day :D there should be more pieces like this on here! Bravo mate. No crits.

hehe :-), my too, but we are living on the edge :-). Thank you again, but, what do you mean? Is better first or second? I want to add some DoF, too... But there are some technology problems, becouse C4D has only a post effetc DoF and I want to use hair module, thus I can not render this in finalRender (yes, I can try it make grass in dynamic polygons, but my machine is not so strong...).
Cheers Pavel

I think that you should blur the tree some so that it doesn't go from a sharp in focus tree to a completely blurry background. If you can't get C4D's DOF to work, just render the fence and everything in front of it first and composite in the background and the tree. That would allow you to blur the tree a bit and make the DOF more convincing.
Overall, the image is great however, the DOF was just bugging me. I love the grass. How'd you do it?

1. Yes, I try it.... Nice and very simple idea....
2. Hair module of C4D, this is realy very strong tool. more about it you can find http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=387868

Its looking good. The only crit I have is of the wall where the rendering has been worn away from the brick. Something isn't quite right. It might be the softness of the edge which could be sharpened in a way to create a clear cut transition between render and brick. Nice work otherwise.

OK, this is propably finally version...
bricks: higher displacement subdivision, other background, DoF (it was terrible) added.
