I know it's very simpel. But it's my last work and It was one of the first I did from my own sketch (I realy need to draw a -lot- more). And I still hope to get some crits because I am planning to improve a lot the folowing year.

For what it's worth, I've been stalking this forum quite a while and I love this forum

Edit: Not pretty simpel, verrry simpel :)

it is simple, your right. the textures look clean. the scene could be more dramatic. especially the lighting. maybe change the camera angle or crop in closer... or both.
the environment could be more exciting.
your off to a good start though.

the textures are really good, but maybe put some chips/dents in the wood because i like the clean look of the hour glass but this could be intesified if the surface its on is not as clean...maybe some volumetric lighting or doing something with the dead space in the background....or even a play on what is reflecting in the hour glass...just throwing a bunch of things out there...what kind of look were you going for?

Hey GekkeHond, the hourglass looks good, but I agree with everyone that you should add more details to the scene... it will turn out great.

Say, is that supposed to be Hebrew letters on the edges of the hourglass?
I'm Israeli, so I could help you out with Hebrew if you want to actually write something that makes sense there :)

HEEE EEN HOLLANDER :wavey:

Ziet er goed uit !
Looks good !

Don't worry about the compelxity of your model or the setup..
Your lighting setup is good only the wood texture could use a light bump map (10-20% of max).
