Title: An Old kitchen
Name: Alberto Gaona
Country: Mexico
Software: Maya, mental ray, Photoshop, Poser

An ancient kitchen place from the 16th or so century. Which resulted a bit harder to make than I tought it would.

Maya, Mental Ray & photoshop

Just a 3d work a did for a bud of mine who is making his thesis on ancient architecture.

A single "spot light" was used to light the hole scene in maya and photoshop for tunning around, the dog and the cat are poser models with maya fur.

Nice work, is like visit an old ranch (I mean Hacienda)

The reference are the dificult thing around that, Once I hear my grandmother talking about those bigest containers of wood (left in the image) Is called "Batea" and are used to make really a lot of cheese, but it must be square (not whith a wall on side)

Another strange thing are the wood on rigth, maybe is better the coal or aged wood it looks more like a carpenteer piece.

Then is a carefull detailed work, nice texturing and wonderfull ligths.
Keep working and mantain the big level

Yeah man, well that block on the right is supossed to be where they used to cook the food but the wood thing on the left is a bit strange to define. Here's the reference image:

The scary thing is that maybe I'll have to construct the hole "hacienda" which happens to be huge.

This is amazing

For the render I though this is more recent, but it must be the kitchen from an ancient monastery near the Colonial Age. (see the clerics in the reference)

My respects to your work (An my apologies: you´re insane man? a Wole Hacienda is like make the Sistine Chapel) have luck on that.

See ya
