View Full Version : First post, Goblin WIP

Hi all, my first 3d-post, I would very much like some comments on it. Itīs a lowpoly Goblin (410 polygons) with a 1024 map, wich I will resize to a 512 later. He is also going to ride a dinosaur later, also a 400 polygon mesh, but not textured yet.

Modelled in Maya, textured with photoshop. Lighting consists of one ambient light only.

I might add that his neck, ears, hands and feets are not hinished yet.

The texture works really well on the model.

Remeber that 400 tris is extremely low for a current PC/Console game... this is the kind of polycount you'll need for mobile devices etc.

Still - Nice!

The polycount is depending on what kind of game youīre creating, ofcourse. And concider that he is supposed to ride a dino, the complet polycount for the character will be 800-900 polygons.
Mainly I did this to practice my low-poly skills.
