View Full Version : How do you insert video into 3-D Studio Max?
Koko_Ed 01-21-2003, 12:33 PM We are making a 30 second animated film for FIRST (http://www.usfirst.org/) and are trying to insert video taped images as part of our animation (FIRST has said that they would like that implimaneted by the teams in their animation). We have sucessfully place still images in before. Are the same methods used to place in video?

It's the same method but the fun part comes in getting the timing done right. If it's all done in max (as in the inserted video was made with max) it's fairly simple since the timing is frame to frame. But if it's a say SMPTE coded video your inserting, you might find it easier to change the timing in max to SMPTE time.
