Hello! I am 16 and currently still in high school. I've found many of the threads posted in these forums to be extremely helpful and interesting and decided to post something I am working on.

My strength in modelling heads is steadily increasing. In previous models, I would rush the project by increasing detail quickly before obtaining a good base mesh. This time I am taking baby-steps and asking for some help along the way, hopefully reaching the image I have in mind.

An issue I am having though is photo references, or rather, the lack there of. I'm planning on getting a subscription to 3d.sk and buying some anatomy books to help me out some. Currently I have been using scattered photos that aren't very consistent in accuracy and what not :(

Oh and also, the biggest problems I am going to have in this project are the eyes and ears, so any tips in these areas would be very useful for me :). Comments and critiques are welcomed :D!

Hi, Im going to direct u to the joan of arc tutorial at www.3dtotal.com. Its a pretty great tutorial that I used when I started with 3d a couple of years ago. Its going to help u a lot!

Thanks for the site pal :D, I'll check it out and work on my model some more. I'll post some updates later this evening (hopefully).

I'm still fixing up the mesh and what not, and I'll start the ears soon enough :S

Hi again m8.

The wire looks pretty clean. Ill problably use twice as much poly's.
The noose looks a little weird, u must define it a little moore :)
keep the work up.

I would also try to define the ears. did u take a look at the joan of the arc tutorial?

Nice progress so far. I'm not very good at making heads, so it's cool to watch someone who is :P. I'm 16 and in High School, too. It's great seeing more people our age on here. Anyway, keep up the good work, and check out that Joan of Ark tutorial. I plan to do that someday... Knowing me, I'll never get around to it, though. Heh.
