I have: 1-graphic card ati 128 mb
2-memory 512 mb
3-intel procesor 1.7 mhz
Question: What are the consequences of instaling 3ds max 8?
I don't know if this is the right place or not, but if you need more info about my pc just tell me.:)

Why do you want to install £2000 software on a £100 computer? It will run, but the old radeon card might cause a few display issues.
LoL, well I can't buy them both at the same time, but eager to try out 3ds max 8:bounce:
Display issues?...can you give an example.
And what about the memory?
Well, max WOULD run on that, but it wouldn't be any fun :) Render times will probably suck, the Radeon will most likely cause display issues (graphical glitches in the UI for example, polys that are there but unseen by the display card.. etc...)
RAM is kinda skimpy, especially if you want to run XP... You'll want about 1GB at least.
