huh?
I think Amazon.de is claiming on this page that they can ship the book in one to two weeks and that it was published on December 1. Check this out:
http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/1558608419/
Maybe you should e-mail Amazon to ask what's going on? Or is my kinda-German failing me? :)
I will write to the publisher and ask also. Since the publisher's parent company, Elsevier, is European, I find it hard to imagine that they wouldn't at least make the English-language version available in Europe.

Well, their website still says one to two weeks, published 1 Dec. However, i have e-mailed the publisher to ask whether Amazon.de have lost their minds...
Order from the U.S.! :)

P.S. If you can send me a copy of the e-mail that might help... send it to mark@melscripting.com

so guys here is the incredible solution for all the german guys out there.
i found a bookstore who can deliver and without any extra shipping etc. just the normal book price.
the store is www.lob.de
you need to call by phone to place your order.

By the way, I got an e-mail from the publisher saying that YES the book should be available throughout Europe. Sounds like Amazon.de is having a weird problem, especially since they still list the book as being available.
