I was wondering if u can make a hard point or edge like you can using hypernurbs while still in spline mod, or do i have to convert to polys to use that feature.

I'm not sure, but you probaly have to weight it anyways.

thats just it I tried to weight it but it didnt do it, so i was wondering if i had to convert my spline to poly first.

You can easisly convert the Spline Patch to a poly object by clicking on "convert to poly object". Otherwise you could try to increase the subdivision value of the Spline Patch object. Maybe this helps.
