Title: Cathy
Name: Steve Weber
Country: Luxembourg
Software: 3ds max, finalRender, ZBrush
This artwork shows the portrait of a new digital character I have created for an upcoming animation.
I decided for a black and white color style to accentuate the eyes.
The idea was to develop a photorealistic face that feels alive.
The mesh was created in 3dsmax and further detailed in zbrush.
All textures are painted by hand in zbrush without any use of projected photographs.
The mesh and texures (4-8k resolutions) are designed to allow
highresolution closeups.
The image was rendered in 3dsmax using finalrender.
Comments are welcome.

nice eyes and mouth, superb skin shading. not so sure about the eyebrows, I think they are too dense.

Looks little like Adriana Lima :) Eyes, nose and lips are looking really beutiful. But the lips somehow are looking that she has too thick layer of lipstick.. I really like this but I still would prefer seeing this with color and wires would be nice too :)

Great detail and skin! How many poly does the mesh in Zbrush have ? And how much time did it take the render...

Nice details and good face expression. Maybe its me that I don't like women with big lips, but for me her lips are very big ;) Anyway nice render. The eyes are great and her nose is sweet.
wow, what a tasty lips :)

Very nice indeed! I guess her eyebrows are, what made me thinking about a certain "Denise Richards likeness"
Would like to see the colorversion....of the whole body!
cheers

Thanks everyone for the comments. :)
Niten: I'm going to show other images of the character in color.
AkiraHanzo: The whole character mesh is 2.6 million polys in zbrush.
The rendertime was 30-60 min for the lowresolution version and ~10 hours for the highresolution 3k version due to unoptimized aa settings on the small skin details. I still need to optimize the rendertimes for the animation.
I have added a closeup of the eye and a wireframe:

Steve, this looks wonderful. If I were to crit something it would be the specularity is a tad high, especially under her eyes and the base of her nose. I love the black and white look, it adds a lot of class.
