that's no cinematic, it's gameplay! i mean, when Sony first showed that game off, they said it was running on the PS3...

Yeah - that link is quite old now. I actually havent seen any more recent footage until that link to gametrailers a few posts back - looks much better now, and cetainly feasible as in-game footage!

Like 99% of gaming blogs, UKresistance are a bit anti-sony though, so they might have found the worst possible pic to use and blown it all out of proportion.

Well, when there will be no reason for cinematics anymore (which i would call false advertising) i'll consider buying games again. Until then, 3d alone doesn't do the trick for me. :shrug:

I'd say the cinematic is done too well.

Even with the PS3 controversy aside, imagine any game where you load it up for the first time, see a video showing the game as you can only wish it looked and played, and then get snapped back into reality when you actually hit start. I know I'd be pretty disappointed.

That's why I liked the BF2 intro movie. It looks great, yet it's done with actual recorded gameplay.

It is shaping up nicely, but i don't think even the final game will feature the fidelity of that first CG movie ; polycount is too low, particles too less and HDR fx not enough.

This is not the tour de force Sony 'promised'
