View Full Version : How to bake PBlurp?
What's the correct way to bake a particle blurp? Or should i not even try? :)
I want to get faster editor playback and rendering. Is baking the TP the way to go?
What's the correct way to do all this?

Unfortunately, you can't bake thinking particles---including Pblurp of course.
Ok thanks. So is my only option for faster render times, a more powerful computer? :(

Hey Dan
I haven't tried it myself, but the matrix-object of mograph is able to bake TP to some degree.. Unfortunatly not everybody has MoGraph :-/ (would make sense if it was part of TP too, right?)
Chris
The MoGraph trick does not work for PBlurp. The trick only works if you can use the matrix object as emitter, which is not possible with PBlurp.
Cheers

Awe that's too bad. Would've been a nice trick to bake TPblurp.
On a different note, what is the best method of motion blur? Vector, Object or Scene?

That depends...
e.g. if you need to see the moblur also in reflections than you need to take smb, which
is a pain to render.
vmb gives you more control than omb. Apparently there are some limitations on omb for example it's not seen on objects deformed by bones. VMB can do that (check the manual what else it can do better than omb) and it gives you more control so it's often of better use than omb.
Ok great thanks. A lot of good info. :)
