fong84,
Welcome to the Anatomy Forum! It's great to see the work that you have done. It would be nice to hear something about your art training and background, and how you came to find this Forum. :) Looking forward to seeing your improvement here! :)

Hihi,
I dont have formal art training. I love to read comics when I was little hence i begin to like drawing. One of my favorites is the Tranfromers when they are still trucks and cars now they have become Animals i think its called Beast Wars? So occasionally i would draw comic stuff.
If you noticed I join this Forum at 2004. Wow .. it had been 2 years now. During that time I joined is just to look at the stunning showcase in this Forum. But after completing my mandatory 2 year National Service, i am back .... hahaha. Its now i decide to push myself futher to draw more detailed stuff and I saw your HEAD workshop so i decided to give it a try.
What should I need to know first(the fundamentals) before I can draw well?

fong84,
Thank you for telling us about yourself! As for drawing basics, I really recommend trying the exercises posted to the beginning of the Beginners' Lounge: :)
Beginners' Lounge (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=297229)

You are welcome to post your work there and here to your own thread. Also, I really recommend picking up Vilppu's Drawing Manual (http://www.vilppustudio.com/books.htm). Drawing is mainly practice, but the biggest thing to stress initially is the concept of Gesture, which is described in the Beginners' Lounge. Take a look at and try the exercises there, post them, and we'll critique them. :)
Cheers,
~Rebeccak
