View Full Version : Curve emitter for Fluids

I have a curve that runs along some bumpy terrain of mine and have turned it into an emitter for fluids. I was wondering if I can extract the cv components of the curve and turn them into emitters so that I can have timed explosions as if bombs were hitting the ground at different times. Can this be done?

At the moment it appears like the whole curve is the emitter but I want to be able to have timed control at a per vertex basis, has anyone done this before? Any help much appreciated.

Hello,
First create your curve, emit from object, then select your curve and choose under particles, per point emission rate.

This will pop up keyable fields in the channel box to control the emission rate of each CV individually.

Let me know if this is what you were after, would love to see afinal render =)

PS,
Make sure your emitter is NOT set to curve, this will force the emitter to emitt from the whole curve at once. You want individual cv's to emitt, then the emitter MUST be set to omni, or directional only.

Hi lustbreker,

thanks for your response, but this technique desn't seem to work with fluids. The ratePP doesnt work on the curve and so the fluid still emits from the whole curve not the cvs.
