Gonzo The Great 01-21-2003, 01:39 AM Does anyone know of a plugin or another way around the "Missing Map Files" pop-up that pauses rendering?
And the Missing UVWs Pop-up that follows it?
I just want it to continue everytime because everything looks how it is supposed to.

Because the envirnoment scene is over 160MB in size.
The character and its setup is about 60MB.
Its a little tedious to remove dozens upon dozens of the buggers.

err i don't get it... u don't want ot see the textures right? so select the objects go into utils UVW remove and remove the material....

It's fairly simple.
I have a scene - with countless objects. Render tests are proving all looks good... so far at least.
Some objects have good material assignment with their bitmap images in their right places and their UVWs correctly applied. Others do not. But, nonetheless, SOME of the objects that don't... look good anyway.
The Render WARNINGs that appear are they just to tell me to double check the scene.
Stuff that - its too tedious - too hard to navigate - too slow to navigate.
You've obviously never seen them. Half your luck!
Someone else please help.

Errr didnt read that all the way. It doesnt make sense that your UVWs are fooked. I was gonna say just UVW map em all cuz that was always a problem with rendering but sounds like your 3ds is just messed up the ass, im sure theres a solution...it will definitely be abnoxious to fix

well like i suggested if you just remove the material from the objects that cause erors, then it'll render fine.
You seem to be complaining about being lazy :p

I agree!... just make a list of the ones with problems, it should tell you which ones are not working correct, go to select by name, select the ones not working right and assign a new standard shader to them with no maps... otherwise, you're just going to have to bit the bullet and fix each one :shame: try to be more organized next time!:D

eerr I think we've beaten this problem to the ground already... There is no such plugin....
I wish there were a plugin called "model THAT for me" and "finish project on time and within budget" but such plugins do not yet exist....

Well today, not unlike most other days, was a 16 hour day. About 14 of which was on Max.
Here... maybe this will help. Forget what I said about the Materials and UVWs... I don't help with that.
I need to be able to click Render... and it renders. No prompts.
Just a By-pass for these:

Get Brazil, it has a "Render Anyway" countdown that kicks in when there are missing maps or UVs.
You did ask for a plugin :)
