hi all :)

i'm new to rigging and i'm trying to rig a cartoony character...
i'm looking for a good stretchy IK script. I fond one in the maya bonus tools but it don't works as i want: the Ik can stretch but wher it squash the lenght doesnt change (the limit scale X is set to 1 and if you change it the system dont work)...
So my question is: where can i find a good stretcy script?

thanks:thumbsup:

hello,

The Art of Rigging 1 has the script you're looking for, you'll love it.

http://highend3d.com/maya/downloads/mel_scripts/animation/3708.html

You can also try that. It makes joints on a curve, and the resulting joint setup has stretchy capabilities. Can also make caterpillar-track type setups.

Sorry hope this isn't off topic. I have AOR and the scripts. Though AOR has many scripts and tutorials on dynamic chains for ropes, I didn't see one that pins the rope on both end where the ends are animated.

Does anyone have info on this, like a guitar wire where the both ends are pinned onto something that is moving.
