Very nice! his nose is more orange than red, i think. At least as far as I remember, and it's shiny.

the nose, feet, ears, tail and hands are darker than in the pic above, but i also had darker refs....and i think the pic above is a bit too bright
just for info....i used this refs:

I like it. I think it's very good, especially for your first works.

this kicks ass for a first model. you going to animate him?
its a pretty good likeness but i think he looks a little thin in the waist, but i could be wrong.

well...for now i don't work on this model for a couple of days, cause i promised my girlfriend to model her a cartoonish puppet-like girl
but maybe i'll animate him later....after i did some corrections on him...and after i figured out how to make a good skeleton *g*(at least i know how to attach a model to a skeleton, cause i've tried it on a standard model with standard skeleton)
and after figuring out how to use the animation mixer
but both should be easy to learn
would be very funny also modeling brain and the acme labs, to remake the intro of the series *hehe*

yeah....also my thought....i did it proportionally extremly near to the refs....maybe he looks like that in 3d.....cartoons aren't so realistic everytime.....but i think i'll make him a bit wider...i don't like the thin part so much

Pretty nice modeling. What software you using on him? Impressive for a first effort.
His tail seems just a little too short and conical compared to the reference used.

software: xsi
tail: you're right, thanks :) it's getting thin too uniformly....the length is hard to guess, but i'll look for it
