import pics into the XSI image clip viewer and export as avis
or use the adobe pic plugin

Does anybody know of any free 3rd party software that can bring in a PIC image sequence and export to avi, mpeg, or mov?

The reason I ask is because I'd like to help a high school that runs an archaic version of softimage convert the only output image file sequence it supports into something that the students can take home with them. Thus far they have been obliged to use flip book to view their animations. It would be great if they could find a free way of converting those pic sequences into video files.

Much obliged!

pk20, Photoshop can load pic files. Simply run a batch process and convert them all to another format that any editing package can read, and you can export from that to an avi.

Also XNview (free). It reads .pic and has good batch conversion capabilities.

(It's the 2nd time this week I'm recommending this program - I'm not affiliated with it in any way).

Load your .pics into the XSI Image Clip Viewer or XSI Flipbook - then export to AVI or MPEG
