Well I guess its time to start one of these myself. Il just start with my last two drawings I dont think it would beworthwhile posting something from half a year ago.

By the way does anyone still do drawovers here?

Well both of these are out of my head.

Tell me if they sit right.

MagicRubber,

Nice to see you back here. :) I know a bit about your background but if you could tell us where you're at now in terms of your schooling etc. that would help.

I'm in a bit of a frenzy atm in preparation for SIGGRAPH and won't be actively posting again til after Aug. 3. However, please feel free to post your work and to post comments to other peoples' threads ~ lots of inspiring work here, and I look forward to seeing more of yours. :)

Regarding paintovers, it's quite hard for me to do them for single pieces of work given the sheer amount of work there is now on the forum. I think people learn better by doing a lot of their own work, and from making mistakes and evaluating them. Everyone has an inherent sense of what looks right and wrong, and the only way to better match one's perception with one's abilities is to practice. So I encourage you to participate in the various Tutorials and Workshops we have in abundance on the Forum, and to study from the masters, study anatomy, and to draw and paint from life. :)
