I don't ever 'do' hair, but I didnt realise blond was that difficult. Do blond CG artists have more fun?

i wonder how this is different from a deep shadow map, or even a voxel grid. i guess if they're using arbitrary positions though that would be a nice new abuse of 3d vorinoi/delaunay shapes.
