This is the first time. Iam participating in matty painting contest. Iam interested to work in this subject. Here i painted ruin royal city (once prosperous civilization) this city is very well planned and constructed during that period. Top of the mountain place is cityscape, where royal society live, Here is full of bungalows, royal buildings, trade centers and in the center there is huge temple. In the lower side (valley) of mountain small towns and small villages, in that there is a small group of houses, there is a tunnel like way that connects village and palace city. In the enterance of the village there is a huge army tower place for infantries and war goods
hear is some ideas and scratches, colour sceme(top 2 images)
other 2 images are reference images(bottum 2 images)
hi, nice idea of thinking about the social structure of a culture when creating a "made up" architecture. I'm not totally sure about the design of the cliffs and of your composition. I'd probably try a different image ratio since this is a matte painting.
Good luck, you should start soon to gather the photo material and 3d models and stuff, there's after all just 4 days or so left (I think)

Once this place is full of rich and huge architectural buildings & temples,
City, towns, villages, agricultural lands & army camp are planed and constructed
The beautiful tunnel like structure which connects pales town to villages. There is an cave like structure that connect neighboring countries.
In the roof of the painting roots of the water growing plants and flowers hanging in top left .I tried to bring some under water like feeling. Iam not satisfied in under water feel.
Finally I hear tried maximum to create my dream. I took very small time to complete because iam working for a movie at office whole day I painted my painting during night time before I going to bed.
Good luck for all
