This was a present to my sister as she just graduated from her school. I really wanted this painting to look good since my sister is so important to me and she is one of the coolest persons on planet earth. One of the things I admire the most in her is her strength and strong will and I chose that attitude as the theme for this painting. I really hope she likes it. Thanks for looking

The technique is really cool and I love the colors, but I can't tell what it is that is burning by her feet. It kind of seems important because it draws my eye, but what is it? Beautiful job by her face. I bet she was very moved when you gave this to her :)

great warmth in this one, love the fat chunks of colored smoke, the orange/green combo works nice too, would like to see more character detail. :thumbsup:

Very beautiful use of colour you've got here, it makes for a great mood. And I like the depiction (I think it's a very nice gesture, too -- I'm sure your sister will love it). She stands out amidst the wreckage, suggesting indeed a strong figure.
Wonderful texture on the sky behind her, too.

It would be nice if there were some close-ups or a larger version of this!

Okay -- one crit now, about the face: her mouth looks a little bit stiff (not in terms of expression, rather in terms of shape/rendering). Other than that, lovely work on the details.
