a couple of more. I intend to improve my line work but I think learning form is more important

kunal,

It's really quite cool to see you back here on the Anatomy Forum ~ I recall that you were part of the original Anatomy Reviews, back when there was no Anatomy Forum. :) You have a lot of fantastic work here, it's so much easier to get a sense of a person's cumulative work when it's all together in one thread ~ looking forward to seeing more of your work here! :)

It would be great if you might tell everyone a bit about your art training and background. :)

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

Your lines and renderings are so soft it makes me cry!
Excellent, just excellent!
Sorry for not giving any constructive feedback, but I'm just bad at it, and there is nothing bad, I can think of, to say.
Keep posting!

Thank you very much Rebecca.:) I'm surprised you remember me. I learned some very good tips from your initial classes of opposing curves and gesture drawings. Just taking time and practice to grasp it practically. Your appreciation and sharing for everyone is really admirable.

This is hard. As far as my art background is concerned, I've never attended any institution for it. Professionally I'm educated in Mechanical Engg which is now left past, thanks to this interest in art field. I've been drawing for long time and is also working with 3d art for the last few years.
Thanks to these forums and Especially the Andrew Loomis books, I decided to start over again. I'll recommend it to anyone who wants to start fresh. Words in those books are good enough for me to boost up. I hope to shake off the negativity, improve my work, and look for places where I can be. Or I'll just simply try to enjoy what we do:buttrock:

Thanks Jho:). I'm glad you liked the line quality as this is something I want to improve on.

kunal,

You're welcome! :) Yes, the initial Anatomy Review Threads are special to me since they were my introduction to the forums. I'm glad to hear that they were useful to you! :)

It's pretty amazing that you are self~taught, I would not have guessed it. :) You know, I think I will have to go through Loomis since I learned in an entirely different way. It's always a great pleasure to be inspired by the work I see on these forums. Keep up the good work!

Cheers,

~Rebeccak

below is a rough from my sketchbook. I liked it and thought it'll be good to see if someone could comment on its character.

the last head study looks good.. some problems at the mouth.. i see black only around the eye..so that's what comes in front.. you need to work more on contrast.. don't be afraid of black...

keep the pencils sharp!:)

thanks guys... it helps:love:

shyamshriram: no no... i'm not engineer. They work much harder. I only educated to be the one but never went for any long time job with that. As I've spent nearly 4-5 years learning that professionally( and I really liked what I learned), that's why I can mention only that as my education. For my other part of skill, I'm self taught.

machu: You're right friend:thumbsup:. I see those mistakes clearly now.(right eye looks as if I've cut-paste it from somewhere else:scream:) and I need to be more confidant with contrast. I copied that image and to prevent from screwing some parts and avoid eraser, I did hesitate to make corrections. This is a good tip for me

SulaMoon: Thank you :)

I don't have scanner so I'll have to wait to show the new head study. But as I've started rolling here, would like to share some of my earliest work. I'll show some more later

Something I did a few years back when I used to draw as a pure hobbyist. Drawing what I see and like and putting it as strokes ,not with the intention of learning. Now we don't copy...we analyse(glen vilpuu words):wise:
