Very nice-looking brushstrokes. I particularly like how you've rendered the vase. The flowers themselves could be either a little brighter, or just have brighter highlights.

But all in all, very nice work.

Hi, Waheed, my friend. It's been a while since I've seen you post and I'm glad you did. I always love the brushstrokes and colors you use. I really like the softness of the flowers and the vase looks real crisp even with the loose brushstrokes.

I haven't been posting because I'm trying to develop a style better suited for me. But looking at your work always gives me inspiration. Anyways, glad to see you back and great painting!

Hi waheed,

good to see you back again and back in a double sense as this is the first one done in the native waheed style after many explorations in different styles and directions.

What can I say?

Lovin it!

I actually like how the low contrast petals suggest a not directly lit setting, but sort of a half-light situation like in the afternoon with lowered blinds...

as always very evocative.

This kind of picture is truely your style.

Recently, you posted some pictures which I thought were not really your style.

This is one of those where I can tell it's a "waheednasir" :)

Wow, fantastic use of the Artrage program. That you've used no reference is quite amazing, as I just love the solidity and smoothness of the vase, even though the brushstrokes are quite choppy. And the lighting on the sunflowers is just lovely, that slightly greenish tinge stops them looking too vibrant and tones them in nicely with the background. You've inspired me to give artrage another go, seeing what great results can be wrung from it.

I wanted to leave a comment here yesterday but somehow got lost in the forum and forgot. :( Your paintings always have a great painterly look to them instead of a glowy digital look. Do you use other softwares to paint beside Art-rage? Anyway, the painting looks great. Just wanted to say that.

Cheers,
Brooke.

thanks a lot curlyhair, Zephyri, Kelandra, RuihongTang, Jose-Pardo and Spritemare...im really happy to read your kind comments...:).
Zephyri, all the best...:).
Kelandra, i hardly do that, if i do then thats just for minor things like adding some grain etc. but rarely, only if i want that particular look. if i do i use photoshop or painter. this one is without that. regarding the painterly look, yes, i love that myself and always go after that feel. when i paint with artrage, i do that exactly the way i paint on real canvas using oils...:).

thanks again everyone...:).

Hi Waheed,

allways astounding artworks you are creating in artrage. Your images perfectly convey the classic painting style/technique into the digital world. Among all your images I very much like this one. It looks very spontaneous and alive without beeing detailed to much. The color variation is excellent.

congrats!

best wishes
