Does anyone know of any concrete instruction of how to set up the volume controls on the prop guide - the proper location on the characters body etc?

Im using a university copy so dont start shouting RTFM cos there aint one :P

I am quite sure Softimage Education wouldn't be impressed to find out students didn't have access to manuals.
Ask your department for them, or perhaps the admins already installed them on the systems but didn't make a link. Or DL them with the experience version2 on Sofimages site or if its for ver3 get your school to access the Softimage DL area with their access SID and get the manuals for you.
