please I need help,
how do I make an object to be self-illuminated but with an outer glow effect or some... for example like make a sun or lamp in front of the camera... you can see... and that illuminates also the surounding objects...

This can be done with volume lights and or effects.

I have created a max 3.1 file with both examples at:
