The highway shot is very well integrated - is the Diablo the only 3d element on it? Itīs very good, and looks very natural!

Maybe, people arenīt replying because theyīre not sure of what is 3d on the shot, too...

Hi all :o)

Yeah, sorry, I should say that the Diablo and the regular car that is in front of the camera (correct Wayner :o) ) are cg elements. Thanks Pentagramma! :o)
There's also sky replacement and CG cables that are hanging from the bridge :o)

I filmed the live footage with a DV camera (Panasonic NV-GS 400) and a little steadicam system. :o)

Thanks for the comments! :p

Both of those shot are awesome man!

Im with everyone else, I thought only the diablo was CG, that shot gives me chills. How fun to be the CG dude in that car eating italian ice!

I watched it 12 times, im gonna go watch it some more!

The shot is amazing!

I especially love the fact that it looks very dramatic in black and white. The coordination with the audio is perfect.

My only critique would be that you can see the reflection of the dash on the window and when the Diablo passes by the reflection disappears.

I think it might be possible to paint a layer with a fake reflection that you can compose over the Diablo using its own alpha as a mask. So that your painted reflection only shows up when the diablo is there. That, and the abundant motion on the screen, could be sufficient to allow for the painted dash not to have to be a very detailed painting.

I really loved the video. Nice choice to use b&w to make everythign look even more realistic.
Tracking and stuff is on great level too.

Good luck on your future projects! :)

wow, this is awesome work man. I like it. I think all of skill that you used for this reel is really nice amount of everything. You can really show what you can do. This is really cool. Nice work !!

some coments---
I think the car infront of camera is little bit too clean. Especially when this car went into shade, we can see that black is diffrerent balck compare to your video. Maybe you can much grain to all of your object. But other that that, I think this is awesome job !!

Cool! I'll try to change that! Thanks Imshadi! :)

Thanks! :o)

Yep!, the cg black seems a little bite clean and more black compared to the real life black :)
I'll try to fix that :)

Hello Sebastien

Sorry for a late responseThat was a cool stuff,
I came across this article through one of my friend...
I had tried a very similar stuff some time ago, The problem i faced was with the curves on the road. when ever the road started to curve out, like the one in ur shot, I would get slipping tracks on the road.. and i had no bridge stuff it was a highway and only road.

Can u help me on this.
Regards
Rammi

Hey Rammi78!
Yes it happened on my shot too. But i forgot to correct the distortion of the camera lens.
Have you done than? It can help a lots. :p

Otherwise, try to re-do your tracking (manual) with other potential tracking points. I tend to use only those in the center of the image and stop them before the tracking goes out of the frame (because of the lens distortion... even though i corrected that :) )

I hope that help! Let me know your progress! I would love to see your shot! :)
Cheers!
