Nice! I've been wondering when they would make a movie about WWI flying with modern film making sfx and vfx.

Dayne Cowan from Double Negative gave a presentation at CGOverdrive last weekend, and he went over some of the effects shots in this movie, and I was pretty damned impressed. Crazily enough, they delivered something like 700 shots in 3 months.

3 months? I thought they were working on it for at least a year. Do you mean three months from turnover? If so that's pretty impressive.
Looks like a godawful yeehaw film, but i'll prolly check it out for the vfx :) Love the shot of the guy running along the zepellin as it explodes!
Yeah I heard that this film has been in all forms of production for quite some time... perhaps I'm wrong.
Anyways, I actually thought this was meant to be a dean devlin film about the first all black aviation team nicknamed flyboys fighting in ww1??... the fx look excellent no doubt (although the trailer seemed poorly interlaced to me) but the actors and performances looked stupid as hell!! And that guy running along the top of the inflatable airship (its real name has slipped my mind) - oh dear oh dear - how unrealistic!

Haha, my thoughts exactly!
vfx-It's called a zeppelin. As for the unrealistic part, think about this. If all movies were to follow life as realistically as possible, would they even be fun to watch? It does seem a little far fetched, but if a movie is done right, when you're sitting the theater and something unrealitic happens, but you don't even think twice about iy then the director has done his job. I'm sure you've heard it before, it's called suspending belief.
