View Full Version : Beetlebot continued.
KlooM 01-20-2003, 08:53 AM Pretty much finished now. The things that are left are the shell, and parts of the head so except for the eyes those parts are still just mockups. I just got tired of modeling yesterday and tried posing him. I've gone from multiple hinges to simple ball joints in shoulders and hips since the IK needed to do it the fancy way was getting on my nerves. I also scrounged the hands from a robot I made earlier and modified them, adding a finger and generally proportion modifications. I can see then end of the modeling and start of animation very soon now! :D

Excelent work, I love the shape and design and the solid feel to the robot. its going to be great with some metalic style beetle textures on it!

That looks great! My only crit is I can see segmentation on the shell just above his head. Fix that and you'll be well on your way to finishing this guy up. Great work.

The shell is still a mockup so I'm not too worried about that. It will be changed. However now that you mentioned it I see there's very visible segmentation on the cylinder behind his head. I'll fix that. :)
