Hi,
Ive built that face for one of my characters, but havnt done the body yet, the head and the body are all gonna be one poly mesh. My question is, is there a way in Maya to create a UV set for the head and do all the texuring for the head, before I have even done the body and then once I do the body, connect the body to the head, do a combine, merge all edges and still keep my UV mapping for my head, so I dont need to retexture? Basically, I want to start texturing my head before modelling, is this recommended and how would I go about ensuring I dont run into problems when I want to combine the body?
