Maddening problem
I am creating a spine for a quadriped. Pretty straight forward. I followed the tuorial in the Art of of Rigging book. settings are as follows:
root on curve checked
auto create curve checked
auto simplify curve checked
number of spans 2
twist type linear
all other options off
then I just create clusters for the curve that gets created, parented these clusters to control curves, and then parented the control curves to a master. All well and good except that when you rotate the master, you end up with a roll happening. There are no roll values in fact, but the roll is happening as evidenced by the changing rotation values of the joints.
This of course is an unworkable situtation. The character can be moved but not rotated into position in the set without screwing uo. This is completely crazy that it would work this way. If anyone has a solution, I would like to know what it is as I have been pulling my hair out for 2 days now trying to get around this problem.
Thanks
Allen
